In 1994, Coleman Powermate Inc has bought over Sanborn and discontinued the Black Max line of air compressors. This line has now been replaced by Coleman’s line of products so much so that the original Black Max models have been replaced by Model numbers.

Black Max Air Compressors Benefits

PMC8280 This is a 12 volt, portable air compressor with a multi functional 5 in 1 unit. It includes a high pressure pump, inflation nozzles, deflation nozzles, sports needles, pressure gauge and a magnetic safety light.

PMC7060 This is a lightweight yet powerful 250 PSI air compressor. This 12 volt system can be plugged easily into any vehicle and hence can be taken anywhere easily. The kit includes a flashlight, pressure gauge, emergency flasher, inflation nozzle adapter, sports needles and a quick inflator and deflator.

PMC8620 This 12 volt air compressor is ideal for inflating tires. With a power of 260 PSI, this unit is light, compact yet powerful. It includes 6 sports needles, an inflator nozzle adapter and an emergency light.

PMC8144 This cordless air compressor has a power of 220 PSI. It is rechargeable and can inflate rafts, tires and any other sports equipment very quickly. The biggest benefit is that the fluorescent work light has the ability to swivel and provide light where ever required.

PMC8230-T This portable air compressor comes with a power of 260 PSI. It is ideal for any kind of emergency as it includes a blow molded case, triangle reflector and an emergency light.

Though Black Max air compressors have been discontinued, they continue to be available either second hand or as Coleman products. Such is the quality of these units that a number of customers still prefer them over contemporary air compressors.
